Despite the name, Corporate Accounts are available to organisations of any size – you don’t need to be a large, multi-national Corporation to qualify.
Essentially, Corporate Accounts are pre-pay accounts that allow an organisation to add funds throughout the year to, to finance their entry into a Corporate Games or World Corporate Cup project.
The Corporate Accounts were borne out of the need that many organisations had when it came to finance; many had issues with the Games being in a later part of the year to when their budgets were decided, and unless they had ‘spent’ the allocated budget, there was a risk to losing it just before the Games.
So, to help encourage our teams to create a Corporate Account, the Early Bird Discount was introduced too, meaning that if an organisation had the funds ready and were willing to allocate them to a Games weekend for their staff, we would reward them with a discount!
Funds are either sent by cheque, paid online by BACS/CHAPS transfers or even by Credit/Debit card, as desired.
Once the funds are ‘saved’ within their Corporate Account, this is treated just like another other pre-pay account, meaning that the organisation could use it for entries into the Games, and/or Party Tickets for them too, merchandise, etc.
If or when the funds get low, the organisation may then choose to ‘top up’ the funds, by simply repeating the above payment steps.
The Corporate Games Online Entry website ties very nicely into the Corporate Accounts, too, meaning that a full statement of transactions are available, showing where each and every penny of the funds have (or have not) been spent. Entries entered online can be charged to this account also, meaning that it’s really easy to use, regardless of the size of the team or organisation involved.
