BAE Systems joins participating organisations from around the UK and the North West for the 19th UK Corporate Games. The global defence company joins thousands of everyday athletes for Europe’s largest corporate multi sport festival, which takes place in the city of Preston in less than 2 months time.
BAE Systems is one of the largest employers in the North-West and a major centre for British defence and its aerospace industry. Although it does have a presence in Preston, its Military Aircraft Headquarters is based in nearby Warton, where its airfield hosts a major assembly and testing facility for BAE Systems Military Air and Information. It also has another sister site within Lancashire, within adjoining Samlesbury.
BAE Systems has many global locations and multi-disciplinary functions worldwide. Its Lancashire sites employ thousands of staff to design and build fixed wing military aircraft and training aircraft, whilst providing training, support and information services for the UK RAF and many other customers worldwide. From sophisticated cyber services and military support, to mission critical electronic systems and protection equipment, BAE Systems aims to be at the forefront of defence technology and science….and now the Worldwide Corporate Sport Community!
We look forward to welcoming the BAE Systems staff at this year’s Games. Good luck to all its competitors!
