Strong Support from North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce

The Games is very pleased to have the support of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce for the UK Corporate Games taking place in Preston this year.

The Chamber are playing an integral role in the development of participation, encouraging Lancastrian companies both large and small to take part in this year’s celebrations.

It is due to this support that we are pleased to be able to offer any members of the North & West Lancashire Chamber 10% discount off entry and sponsorship into this year’s Games in Preston.

North and Western Lancashire is a thriving, vibrant and dynamic location for businesses to prosper. The Chamber of Commerce is an important part of the regional business community because of its strong membership base and range of services it offers. This makes the Chamber the most effective independent business support organisation in the region.

The Chamber have planned launch events in and around Lancashire across the run-up to the Games, spreading the message right across Lancashire in an effort to get the region ready for business and sport in July.

Doug White, Participation Manager for the UK Corporate Games commented:

“It is really important for us to maximise on the opportunities to connect to local businesses.  This is a Games for Preston and Lancashire – everyone can and should benefit.  Whether you are self-employed, or work as part of a larger organisation, public sector or private, there is something in the Games for you.  As many as half of our athletes will be travelling from outside the North-West.  What we really want is to boost the number of Prestonians and Lancastrians that will be representing ‘home turf’ during the Games weekend, giving our Games visitors a competitive, yet warm welcome into the City.”

The North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce provides business information, business networking, training, seminars, a wide range of business services, international trade services, business information tools, legal advice and HR services.

It is also responsible one of the region’s largest business showcases, the Be Inspired Business Awards, or BIBAs are they are more popularly referred to.

The BIBAs 2012 will officially open Guild Week on Friday 31st August – what better way to showcase the talent that Lancashire has to offer.
