Sports Tourism that was once considered a “sleeping giant” of travel, is now the fastest growing sector in the global travel industry and worth more than $180 billion-a-year.

South Africa is increasingly being seen as a major sports and events destination and is playing a vital part in the boom.

3rd South Africa, as the official licence holders of Corporate Games South Africa , has been invited to the third annual Sports & Events Tourism Exchange (SETE) that will be taking place in Durban between 22 – 24 October 2013.

SETE is aimed at promoting South Africa as an events destination. The conference and exhibitoins will attract key representatives from international sports federations: the people who influence international byers from global events to South Africa. This year will see in the region of 60 international byers from the global sports tourism industry attending the event to assess the country’s capacity to host international sports events.

Visit the exhibition on the 23rd or 24th of October 2013 and interact with decision makers from Tourism Authorities, Sport Federations, Local Venues, Sport Tourism Products and Services as well as Training Authorities.

We are proud to welcome SETE as one of our supporting partners for the 2014 Cape Town Corporate Games and look forward to growing our relationship with them over the years to come.
